This is a class specifically designed around improving strength and stability. This class includes evidence based interval training, strength and balance exercises, and uses resistance bands. Participants can do this class seated or standing. It is particularly suitable for those that have fallen or have a fear of falling
This class is dedicated to improving core strength and posture by identifying basic postural and movement imbalances through Pilates based exercises. The exercises are chair based.
Our chair based fitness yoga is a combination of working the body and the mind, improving cardio fitness, strength and flexibility.
BoxFit Rehab is a non-contact, boxing-inspired fitness class designed for all abilities, including individuals living with Parkinson’s. The sessions focus on safe, effective movement to improve strength, balance, coordination, and confidence - with no sparring or physical contact involved.
Participants are encouraged to work at a “somewhat hard” intensity, with exercises easily adapted to suit different fitness levels and mobility needs. Classes are closely supervised, and options such as chair or wall support are available to ensure safety and stability throughout.
Cognitive challenges are incorporated through multitasking drills that combine movement with mental focus, helping to support both physical and brain health.
Dancing fun, body weight exercises that can be done either sitting, standing or mix it up with both. Lots of good tunes, some resistant strength work and some moving that body to the music.
This is a great way to begin that movement, join in the fun of dancing and basic strength training.
All abilities welcome. This is a beginners class.
